When Canadian-American filmmaker Geoff Browne first decided to visit Tarkwa Bay, a popular beach in Lagos, Nigeria, it wasn’t because he wanted to make a film there. He had seen Nigeria listed as a location on a shirt for The Endless Summer, Bruce Brown’s 1966 surf film, and was amazed to discover that there is surfing in Nigeria.
