Artists and Athletes Come Together for an Exceptional Cause

(Venice, CA) Venice Family Clinic announces the 3rd Annual Venice Art Walk & Auctions Surf & Skate Silent Auction at the famed Robert Berman gallery at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica August 29th, 2013.  This year’s theme “The Endless Summer” celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the sensational film of the same name created by filmmaker Bruce Brown in 1964. John Van Hamersveld, the designer of the original film poster also created the branding for Venice Art Walk 2013.

Serving as Venice Art Walk & Auctions end-of-summer celebration, attendees will experience a memorable evening filled with live music, refreshments, and meet-and-greets with top artists and surfers and skateboarders.  In its third year, Surf & Skate was started by artist Mark Farina and photographer Kristy Campbell as a way to involve local street artists in the Venice Art Walk & Auctions. About Venice Art Walk & Auctions

For more than thirty years the Venice Art Walk & Auctions have provided income and awareness to support Venice Family Clinic’s programs. A cherished part of the local community, the Art Walk features renowned artists’ studios tours, special exhibits, and its signature silent auctions. Venice Art Walk & Auctions is also complemented by separately ticketed Art & Architecture Tours, which explore significant themes and artists’ studios. Venice Art Walk is a “destination” for viewing and acquiring art and a celebration of beach culture that has become one of the most important public expressions of the city’s identity. It remains the only “art walk” in the city that is a fundraiser–organized by and for Venice Family Clinic with support from hundreds of community volunteers.
