The heart, soul and passion has not changed, but the level of performance and the technology to convey that certainly has,” said Dana Brown. “Seeing it all come full circle is an incredibly rewarding experience. It is shaping up to be one of the strongest films I’ve ever done and I am excited to share a glimpse of the film now.”

Dusters Celebrates The Endless Summer 50th Anniversary with Release of Commemorative Skateboards

  • By admin

Dusters California commemorates the 50th anniversary of The Endless Summer with our newest collaboration; The Endless Summer cruiser skateboard and longboard. Both boards feature the original iconic film poster art by John Van Hamersveld.

Fifty years ago, filmmaker, Bruce Brown gathered $50,000, a 16mm camera and world class surfers, Robert August and Mike Hynson to chase summer around the world, filming what would become the most iconic surf film of all time. This quintessential film made a massive impact not only on the surf and skate community, but on pop culture as a whole, effecting millions over the past fifty years.

Its title comes from the idea, expressed at both the beginning and end of the film, that if one had enough time and money it would be possible to follow the summer around the world, making it endless. Upon its release The Endless Summer triggered the explosion of surfing on worldwide level.

The new Dusters Endless Summer cruiser and longboard are perfect for cruising during your travels as you search for that perfect wave…in the water, or on land.

“Dusters California is rooted in the trailblazing, creative tradition surrounding skateboarding since its earliest days,” says Dusters Creative Director Nano Nobrega. “With roots in California, skateboarding was born among surfers and originally known as sidewalk surfing. It was just something they did to keep the stoke alive on land. That rich skateboard culture has always intertwined with surf and Dusters is proud to pay tribute to such an iconic image, creating these two boards that both surfers and skaters will love.”
