| BRUCE BROWN FILMS BEGINS LICENSING THE ENDLESS SUMMERTRADEMARKS (Torrance, CA) Bruce Brown, director of the classic surf documentary The Endless Summer (1964), announced today that Bruce Brown Films, LLC, has started licensing The Endless Summer trademarks in the United States and Japan. With consumers eager to embrace classic "retro brands" that continue to be a driving force in many parts of the licensing business, management anticipates that the program will be well received by retailers in the US and abroad. "We are excited about pursuing these new licensing opportunities for The Endless Summer with Bruce," said Ronda Bresin, Chief Executive Officer of Bruce Brown Films. "With both the 40th Anniversary of The Endless Summer and the 10th Anniversary of The Endless Summer II just around the corner, timing was of the essence to get our program launched." As a result of the upcoming anniversaries, management is in the process of planning several beach and music festivals, including the re-release of The Endless Summer at select theaters around the country. A company website (www.brucebrownfilms.com) has been set up to allow interested prospects to learn more about the ongoing projects and events that are planned for 2004. Bruce Brown Films, LLC, based in Torrance, California, was re-established by Bruce Brown in November 2003. "I am glad to be back in business again after 3 decades and having my team run the show now," explained Bruce Brown. "Our company’s main focus will be on developing the intellectual property for many of my films, including Slippery When Wet and On Any Sunday, starring Steve McQueen." |
